August 9, 2020

Fairly uneventful week, with updated warnings regarding International travel risks due to Covid 19 pandemic, many people are changing plans and
deciding not to travel yet. Many Resorts, restaurants, super markets and most other businesses are operating now with high safety standards, though
crowds are much lighter than we would normally expect. At this time there is a newly developing Tropical Storm Elida gaining strength and momentum
off offshore from Manzanillo. This system is expected to become a hurricane by Monday and is also forecast to follow a track about 250 miles southwest
of Cabo San Lucas, so we are not expected to feel much impact in Los Cabos besides some larger ocean swells, scattered cloud cover, increased humidity
and perhaps isolated rain showers.

Though most of this past week the winds were laid down and this gave a chance for ocean clarity to improve, blue water was much closer to shore
now, though on Friday south winds kicked up again setting conditions back some. Water temperature dropped back to 74 degrees along the shoreline,
though 80 degree currents were still within several miles offshore. Seasonal patterns seem to be behind schedule this year, we do anticipate
conditions to stabilize and get back on track within a couple of weeks.

Bait supplies remained steady for caballito, some mullets still mixed in, no sardinas reported yet. Most popular and consistent fishing grounds this
week were near the San Luis Bank. Anglers using yo-yo jigs found a mix of species, amberjack, cabrilla, grouper, bonito, red snapper, yellow snapper,
barred pargo and pompano. No huge numbers of any particular species and everyday would be different. We saw amberjack close to 50 lb. also a
handful of yellowfin tuna were accounted for off these same grounds, some hit of yo-yo jigs, others on caballito. Far offshore some boats were
venturing deep in search of moving porpoise which in turn could attract yellowfin tuna, most reports were of spotty action. We did hear a report of
more porpoise activity found offshore of Cabo San Lucas, mostly small to medium sized tuna, but heard of one fish that weighed in at 180 lb.

We saw quite a few dorado moving into to local waters, though the majority of these fish were very small juveniles which should be released with care
in order to have a chance to mature and reproduce.

Marlin action we saw was more for striped marlin, though we did hear of the one 306 lb. black marlin taken outside of San Luis Bank during recent
Bisbee event, of which a 700 lb. blue marlin won on final day.

Along the shoreline we are still saying some monster sized roosterfish up to 60 lb., late in the normal season, but for the time being these fish are
remaining in the region while they are finding enough food source. Big jack crevalle also are found along same beach stretches. Local surf anglers
reported some evening tripletail action, as well as a couple of nice sized snook, though more jacks than anything else.

Light crowds, good fishing, Eric

August 2, 2020

Much of the same patterns this past week. Light crowds of tourists arriving, greeted by warm summer conditions, no new tropical storms that we
see developing at this time. Windy conditions were dominant through the entire month of July, though this week winds finally settled down late in
the week and through the weekend, giving a chance for water clarity to improve and ocean temperatures were once again on a warming trend, ranging
from the mid to upper 70s.

Bait supplies mainly consisted of caballito, with some mullet still found as well, no sardinas were reported yet and usually we do not see them until
closer to October. The majority of local sport fishing charters were fishing the grounds from the Gordo Banks and north to Vinorama. Finding a
mix of inshore, bottom and offshore action. Most consistent action was found working the shallow rock piles and areas such as San Luis and
Vinorama Banks, more often in depths of 100 to 180 ft., using yo-yo jigs and bait. Various cabrilla, grouper, snapper, pargo and amberjack were
hooked into, though these fish had to be worked for, no easy big numbers at this time. No wahoo or dorado action was reported

We did hear of a few yellowfin tuna being hooked into near the San Luis Bank, on yo-yo jigs and bait, these tuna were in the 40 to 50 lb. class. We
hope with conditions now stabilizing that this tuna action will become steadier, the month of August is normally one of the best times of the year
to find good numbers of quality sized yellowfin tuna. Other private charters were going much further offshore in search of warmer clean blue
water and migrating porpoise which in turn can be associated with schooling yellowfin, so far this action was very hit or miss, especially with how the
wind had been and the distance which was needed to possibly find action. Normally this month is when we find the tuna closer to shore on the high
spots, just taking a little longer to develop this summer with the way ocean conditions have been.

Along the shoreline anglers are still finding jack crevalle and some very nice sized roosterfish, we are now in the late time of the season for these
fish, but since we have not seen a lot of huge storm surf activity this could last for another couple of weeks.

We did not have many anglers that wanted to go looking for billfish, it is kind of in between seasons now, as the striped marlin move out, following
cooler currents towards the north and then we see the black and blue marlin show up, which is now the time frame when they usually become more
prevalent on local grounds. We did see a handful of striped marlin landed this past week, most of these were in the 100 to 140 lb. range.

July 26, 2020

Another week of warm sunny weather, no new storms developing at this time, so far the Eastern Pacific has seen fewer storms than normal this far into
the season. We were dealing with swirling winds up to 20 mph, blowing from the south, as well as the north, hard to predict. Light crowds of tourists
arriving, about a 30% percentage of Resort and restaurants are open. We expect light crowds will continue until October and November when we do
plan to see the usually busy period.

Water conditions were clearing up, blue water moving into the San Luis and Iman Banks regions, this should help improve the surfce gamefish action.
There has been scattered action for billfish, mainly further offshore, more striped marlin, but also a few blue marlin now being hooked into.

For the first week in a long time, we saw dorado coming in to the fish counts, fish up to 20 lb., caught trolling bait, as well as on trolling
lures, some charters landed three or four. Bait supplies consisted mainly of caballito, also some mullet available. We did not hear of any wahoo
landed. There were a handful of yellowfin tuna being hooked into, some on the San Luis Bank, up to 50 lb., they hit on caballito and on yo-yo jigs,
same grounds where snapper bite has been going on. Other schools of tuna were found 20 to 30 miles offshore traveling with moving porpoise, though
that was not a normal charter option with how winds have been, not to mention high fuel costs.

Through much of the week there was good early morning red snapper action found for anglers while dropped yo-yo jigs on the San Luis Bank, some of
these snapper weighed up to 14 lb., most were in the 6 to 12lb. class. This tapered off over the weekend, same time we saw cleaner water and some
dorado and tuna move onto these grounds.

Trophy sized roosterfish continue to patrol the beach stretches, we saw roosterfish to over 50 lb. caught and released, it is now reaching the late
part of the roosterfish season, also we are seeing much fewer schooling mullet action along the beaches. Jack crevalle was the other gamefish that
were abundant close to shore, as well as a handful of dogtooth snapper and pargo colorado.

GORDO BANKS PANGAS

July 19, 2020

As we progress into the summer season we continue to see light crowds of tourists arriving, this has been expecting during the reopening phase
during the ongoing worldwide pandemic. Local weather in the Los Cabos area is feeling more tropical, though at this time we do not see any new storm
systems developing that will cause any adverse conditions for Southern Baja, only far off to the west, which may impact the Hawaiian Islands by
next weekend. Mostly clear sunny skies now, some early morning cloud cover which have dissipated quickly by mid-morning. Winds have been variable, at
times from the north, but more often out of the south, swells have been moderate, but strong along the shore, always the time period to be extra
cautious when venturing along the shoreline.

Anglers have been finding bait sources mainly consisting of caballito and mullet, which is kind of the normal situation during the warm summer
months. Other baitfish can be found at times on the offshore fishing grounds when conditions are favorable. Ocean temperatures have been
averaging in the mid-70s. With currents continuing to push in greenish water. Clean blue water has been found much further offshore, but winds
were a factor and going 25 miles or more offshore has not been practical, though a few larger private boats did report finding good numbers of
yellowfin tuna associated with moving porpoise. In the area of San Luis Bank there have been a handful of tuna in the 50 to 70 lb. class accounted
for, these fish hit on live caballito, though with the green water this was a very hit or miss option.

The most consistent action found was for red snapper (huachinango), to 12 lb. and Mexican bonito to 10 lb, striking on yo-yo jigs best earlier in the
morning. Also there were a few variety of cabrilla, amberjack, tilefish and others mixed in. Closer to shore there were a few dogtooth snapper to 30
lb. and Pargo Colorado to 15 lb. found.

Along the sandier beach stretches there continues to be great action for roosterfish up to 50 lb., as well as large schools of hog sized jack
crevalle. Some charters caught and released up to twenty roosterfish, basically fishing until they ran through all of their live bait.

Off the shoreline the hard core beach anglers have landed a few halibut, snook and tripletail.

GORDO BANKS PANGAS

July 12, 2020

This week we had very few tourists arriving, seems like this will be the continuing trend through the rest of the summer. There was Hurricane
Cristina which formed far south and never amounted to much, low strength category 1 system which passed some 400 to 500 miles off to the west. We
did feel increased humidity, also there were some isolated very limited rain showers reported and the usual increase of ocean ground swells, though
we felt very little wind at all. The greatest impact was that once again the local Port’s were closed, out of San Jose del Cabo on Friday this port
was closed, though conditions remained perfected calm and were not unsafe for motoring at all,

Hard to explain this to the few serious anglers that had paid for airfare, hotels, rental cars, etc.. to come visit and try to give a boost to the
poor local economy, this all seems to be a political game of power that they are playing and appears to be how things will be in the future, any
storm system which is within 500 miles of our area most likely we will continue to see these unjustified overly cautious closures. Local
sportfishing captains have all been born and raised here and know the conditions better than anyone, no one wants to launch when conditions are
actually dangerous, nothing worse than that, a lose lose deal for everyone.

Early in the week we heard of a couple blue marlin caught locally, one of them was over 400 lb., from a panga some 25 miles offshore. There were also
some striped marlin found, but overall the billfish action became very spotty, best chances were far offshore where cleaner water was located.
Closer to shore the ocean currents were stirred up, a lot of greenish off colored water, temperature also fluctuated. Large schools of mullet were
more scattered now, so big numbers of roosterfish were harder to find. Though there were some roosters to 50 lb. reported, also quite a few 25 lb.
plus jack crevalle to give anglers a challenging work out.

Off the rock piles the main catches were red snapper and bonito, an occasional cabrilla or amberjack. Live caballito and mullet was the main
bait supply found in the marina area. No dorado or wahoo being reported. There were a handful of yellowfin tuna to 50 lb. accounted for from the San
Luis Bank, but these fish were finicky and hard to entice. At times tuna were seen up on the surface, some fish up to 100 lb. plus, though they
would disappear as soon as they had been seen. We expect that by the end of this month ocean conditions will stabilize and we will see much improved
action through the rest of the summer.

We are still only seeing minimal numbers of tourists arriving and the majority of these are past regular visitors. Weather settled down, no new storms threatening the area at this time, days are warm and humid, in the low 90’s, very little cloud cover and not much wind
to report either.

Ocean conditions were changing, off colored currents moved in, anglers were having to search a bit further offshore to find blue water. Bait supplies
consisted of caballito, ballyhoo, mullet and some bolito being found on the fishing grounds. Later in the week the bolito which had been schooling on
the San Luis Bank became hard to find. These batfish had been working for targeting the yellowfin tuna, which had ranged in sizes up to 100 lb., no
numbers to speak of, but a handful of quality fish were accounted for, but without the bolito for bait this limited options.

Closer to shore there were African pompano, various pargo species, cabrilla, amberjack and bonito, taken over the shallow rock piles, on jigs
and baits. Trolling along the beach stretches produced some epic wide open action for roosterfish, some of these fish reaching up to 60 lb. Shore
fishermen also got into this action, a few nice size snook were also reported. Some monster sized sierra to 15 lb. were landed, late season for
these mackerel species, this is the time when the largest sierra of the season are usually reported.

Not much going on for reports of any dorado or wahoo at this time. Though there was good action for striped marlin found in the vicinity of the Gordo
Banks and straight out from there. Trolling ballyhoo seemed to produce best, some charters reported as many as three of four marlin per outing,
sizes ranged up to 140 lb.

GORDO BANKS PANGAS

June 27, 2020

We saw a limited number of tourists arriving, but at least we are seeing
people arrive and this is helping to restart businesses that have been shut
down for nearly three months. This will be a slow process, but local
population is putting it the extra effort to make the safest environment
possible so that people are able to relax and enjoy themselves. The weather
was more tropical this past week as a series of tropical disturbances
passed off to the southwest, no impact on land being felt, except some
cloud cover, humidity and some increased swells. Winds were relatively
light, picking up occasionally in the afternoon.

Ocean conditions were changing day to day, off colored and cooler currents
pushed in, dropping water temperature down in the lower 70 degree range
over the weekend. Large schools of bolito congregated on the fishing
grounds north of Punta Gorda. Some larger sized yellowfin tuna seen in the
area, though not many were hooked into, as there was limited angler
activity. There was one tuna of about 80 lb. reported mid-week.

Most consistent catches were for red snapper (huachinango), amberjack, a
few cabrilla and trophy sized roosterfish were patrolling the shoreline,
with fish over 50 lb. hooked into. A few late season larger sized sierra in
the mix, as well as jack crevalle.

Striped marlin action slowed some due to changing water conditions, though
early in the week there were still decent numbers of stripers encountered.
As conditions stabilize we do expect action to improve. Soon will be the
time when the black and blue marlin move onto local grounds.

June 21, 2020

As of this week the Los Cabos area has begun the reopening process, we have seen the first tourists starting to arrive since early March. This will be a slow process, following
new safety protocols which in are now in place. Sportfishing services are now allowed, many restaurants and other businesses also are reopening, all under strict new guidelines.

Summer weather has arrived, typical warm sunny days, little cloud cover, slight breezes and some increase in humidity. We have not seen any signs of any tropical storms
developing yet, still early in the season for this, we are hoping that we are spared of any serious impact this summer, we have already dealt with enough this year.

Only a handful of fishing charters went out this week, mainly past regular clients, anxious to get back out on the water. Best action was found north of Iman Bank, near San Luis
and Vinorama, this is where cleaner current were found. Water temperatures are in the upper 70’s, caballito, mullet and ballyhoo were available for bait. Anglers did well on yo-
yo jigs as well.

Catches included red snapper (huachinango), amberjack, various cabrilla, dogtooth snapper, bonito, wahoo, dorado and striped marlin. Most numerous were the red snapper, biting
best early in the day. Only one or two wahoo reported, others strikes were lost, same for dorado, ocean turned a bit off colored for these species. Striped marlin action remained
steady, but not wide open like in past weeks, fish were a bit more finicky.

Some quality trophy sized roosterfish found along the shoreline, this is now peak season for these species, please remember that these prized fighting gamefish should always be
released with care so that they can live and reproduce and keep future stocks healthy.

We expect some great action coming up and as we get further into summer the yellowfin tuna should become more active on the local high spots, also soon we will see the black and
blue marlin appearing.

Back in business, Eric

June 13, 2020

We have heard that on Monday, June 15, authorities will be opening up certain locations and businesses to the public. This will be a slow process,
based on a light system, we have been in stage red, will now go to orange, then yellow and eventually to green. Confusing, but at least it is a start,
encouraging, finally some beaches and hotels will be opened, then restaurants, marina activities, etc. All with limited capacity at first and under
strict health protocols. We believe that within a couple of weeks that sportfishing will be officially reopened.

Los Cabos Hotel Association has received the Safe World Travel Seal from the World Travel and Tourism Council, this is an honored achievement and will
most certainly help with the return of tourism to the Los Cabos region.

The limited fishing now being done by locals for personal consumption has been going well, lots of striped marlin off of San Jose del Cabo, water
temperatures over 75 degrees, also some quality yellowfin tuna to 90 lb. and a few nice 40 lb. class bull dorado appearing, as well as roosterfish and
various bottom species. So things are looking promising, as far as favorable conditions and quality of gamefish, for when we do receive the green
light for sportfishing.

Reopening soon, Eric

June 7, 2020

After nearly three month of lock down during this ongoing virus pandemic everyone is anxious to have tourists be able to return and see all of the shutdown businesses reopen.
There is a financial crisis now, as the Los Cabs region depends basically solely on tourist for their livelihood.

As summer season now settles in, the days are becoming progressively warmer. This is time to work and be able to save a little money for the upcoming tropical storm season. The
latest news we hear is that the government expects by June 15 to start gradually open up economic
activities. This will be in stages, with health and safety being the top priority. So we are hoping by the end of this month we will be able to see some return to our normal
routines.

On June 1 some 14,000 local construction workers returned to work. Local fishermen are still able to fish for personal consumption. The main action for this past week has been a
big bite for striped marlin, anywhere from 2 to 15 mile offshore, straight out of San Jose del Cabo and towards Punta Gorda. Good numbers of mullet are starting to move in along
the beaches and
this will surely attract gamefish, such as roosterfish, dogtooth snapper and amberjack. We are looking forward to getting back to work and enjoying some great fishing.

Reopening soon, Eric
